Our outdoor meetings are held for the benefit of Association members who are fully aware of and accept the risks involved. Potential beekeepers wishing to attend should contact the Secretary for advice and to be teamed with an experienced member. Clean protective clothing is required for all outdoor meetings, please ask for advice, the Group can provide some items. This is a precaution against the spread of varroa and disease from one apiary to another.

Wednesday 27th June Apiary visit, Julia Garrison, Craigdarroch, Contin. An excellent evening, very educational in wonderful conditions - though perhaps still a bit too hot for wearing bee suits, but it kept the midges at bay! A great turnout with some promising 'youngsters' taking a keen interest in beekeeping and all its problems. Our grateful thanks to our host.
Saturday 26th May Apiary visit, Rod Pimm, Culish, North Kessock. A successful follow-up meeting for those who attended the meeting on April 7th. For some of us it gave encouragement that we might be in for a far better honey harvest this year - we hadn't seen that much honey on a colony for years!
Wednesday 16th May Apiary visit Arthur Hill, Fairfield Apiaries. A first-class meeting in perfect weather, good enough to be enjoying the tea and nibbles sitting outside at 9pm - can't be bad.
