Joining the Association
After having read about the Association we would be delighted for you to join us.
Young person/Student £5
Adult membership £10
Family membership £15
This membership does not include any membership of the SBA which has to be taken out individually with the SBA. If you are not currently an affiliated member of the SBA it is no longer possible to take out this type of membership. As soon as an affiliated membership lapses, even for a month or two, it can not be reinstated as the policy of the SBA is to do away with affiliated members. Full membership of the SBA is £40 (https://scottishbeekeepers.org.uk/about/joining-the-sba) and the Secretary holds application forms. It is only by being a SBA member that you can get insurance cover on losses of colonies and even then it is restricted to fire, theft, vandalism and the two foul brood diseases. Our Constitution can be viewed here. Amended May 2021 and will be put to the AGM of 2022 for approval.
