2023 Black Isle Food Festival

Honey tasting and sales went well at the first Black Isle Food and Drink Festival. Initial sounds are good for this being repeated next year if anyone is interested in selling and next year is the big harvest!

We did have three genuine enquiries about joining us, one from a woman with 9 hives in North Kessock. Another from a woman whose colonies had died several years ago but desperately wanted to start up again. Lastly a young man who had been on training courses and spoke very knowledgeably but didn’t have any bees. 

We thought there would have been more interest in the beekeeping side of things but we did hand out a few D&DBKA leaflets and overall it was considered a success.
