16 July 2020Looking for a present for the grandchildren?

This might fit the bill.

I have recently published a follow up to my story for children on Amazon called "Busy Bee and the Endangered Meadow". This one is called "Busy Bee and the Silent Spring" and is named after Rachel Carson's 1962 book where she took on the agrochemical industry. All these years later and we are still trying to rid ourselves of environmentally damaging chemicals.
In this story the bees have to find out why all the creatures are beginning to feel unwell. They discover a farmer who is using banned pesticides and have to find a way to stop him.
Busy Bee and the Silent Spring is available from Amazon as an eBook and printed paperback and is for the 8 to 12 year old reader.
If you have any members with children or grandchildren could you mention this story to them? The Scottish Beekeepers Association think it is good enough to put a copy in their Edinburgh library.
I can send you a synopsis or a pdf of some of the chapters of the story if you would like to take a look at it.
