I thought some photographs of flowers will hasten the arrival of Spring. Above - Mahonia courtesy of Elsbeth. As a complete contrast whilst weeding out the masses of chickweed I realised I was robbing our bees of their foraging.

Our Winter meetings take place in the St Clements Church Hall in the central car park opposite the Dingwall Community Centre.
Wednesday 15th April - We have decided to cancel the AGM.
A full Calendar upto April 2021 can be viewed here.
Wednesday 19th February: We held our very first "Question Time" which went very well, the panel consisted of Andrew Watson, Moray, Bryce Reynard, Inverness, Pam Piercy and Arthur Hill, Dingwall. The topics covered can be found here.
Wednesday 20th November: "Beekeeping - My Methods & Experiments - a general talk on my beekeeping with a few unique tweaks tried out over the years." Alan Riach. An excellent talk and we all came away with the meaning of FEDSS.
Wednesday 16th October: Honey Show. A lack of entries and a lower than normal turnout caused mainly by the very poor honey year and school holidays didn't detract from an interesting Honey Show. Our judge, Willie Robson, was in great form and had plenty of time to expand on his comments re. the entries and how the bee industry is trying to cope with the current bee situation.
Tuesday 1st October: - we hosted the SBA touring speaker, Irene Power, who spoke on "Are you ready for Winter?" Unfortunately inaccurate advertising on the SBA website meant potential visitors were directed to Dingwall, which might have explained the lower than normal attendance. However, some made it through for an interesting and informative talk.
