Our outdoor meetings are held for the benefit of Association members who are fully aware of and accept the risks involved. Potential beekeepers wishing to attend should contact the Secretary for advice and to be teamed with an experienced member. Clean protective clothing is required for all outdoor meetings, please ask for advice, the Group can provide some items. This is a precaution against the spread of varroa and disease from one apiary to another.

Saturday 26th May Apiary visit, Rod Pimm, Culish, North Kessock. A successful follow-up meeting for those who attended the meeting on April 7th. For some of us it gave encouragement that we might be in for a far better honey harvest this year - we hadn't seen that much honey on a colony for years!
Wednesday 16th May Apiary visit Arthur Hill, Fairfield Apiaries. A first-class meeting in perfect weather, good enough to be enjoying the tea and nibbles sitting outside at 9pm - can't be bad.
Friday 11th May Apiary visit, Kay Liston, Lochcarron 2pm Skye beekeepers will be present. The weather was far better than had been forecast and the visit was well worthwhile. Our thanks to our hosts Kay and Wang Liston.
Wednesday 18th April Annual General Meeting. President, Arthur Hill and Vice-President, Bill Cormack successfully elected. Membership requires to be renewed - application form can be found on "Joining the Association" page.

Wednesday 21st March Kirsty Sutherland gave an excellent talk on her role as a Bee Inspector.
Wednesday 21st February Heather Maclaren described her role as northern area representative for the SBA. She then gave a very interesting presentation of the importance of pollen to the bees. There might well be a few more folk setting up pollen traps on the hives as a result.
